Mumbai Police detained a 22-year-old engineering diploma holder, Pranjal Thakran of Sonipat in Haryana, at a hospital in Indore as the eleventh suspect in the October 18 shooting targeting actor Tiger Shroff (Prameya News). He is suspected of being a weapon supplier (Prameya News). Police later invoked the MCOCA against all 11 accused after a court granted permission for re-arrest (Asianet Newsable).

What every report agrees on

The firing took place on October 18 in Juhu, Mumbai (Asianet Newsable). Asianet Newsable reported that the actor's driver was injured and that Shroff escaped unhurt (Asianet Newsable). Four people arrested by the Delhi Police Special Cell were brought to Mumbai, where investigators planned to examine their links with three suspects already held from Kota (India Today). Three men arrested in Haryana, among them Ankit alias Sarpanch Rajesh Khatak, 18, were remanded in police custody until October 28 (Mathrubhumi). Police say Khatak went with the alleged shooters to scout locations linked to Shroff (Mathrubhumi). Several outlets cite police sources as saying the accused practised shooting near Mumbai before the attack, and that a gun misfired while being tested in an Andheri hotel room (The Free Press Journal, DNA India, The Shillong Times).

What the record shows

Most details of the case rest on police sources or on what the accused told investigators. The two women arrested in the weapon supply module are named in two outlets, which give different ages. The Indian Express gives Babita as 22 and Radha as 23 (The Indian Express). Hindustan Times gives Radha as 30 and Babita as 23 (Hindustan Times). OdishaTV reported that Mumbai Police are probing suspected links to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and tracing money through six bank accounts (OdishaTV). It also reported that a shooter cited Shroff's 2022 remark praising Salman Khan as a possible motive (OdishaTV). The Sentinel and Business Today relayed police suspicions that Salman Khan was the original target, and that the plan shifted because of security at his residence (The Sentinel, Business Today). DNA India reported that the Crime Branch will cross-check the accused's statements before confirming any threat to another film personality (DNA India). O Heraldo reported, citing sources, that two accused, Phool Singh and Rehan Singh, stayed in an Andheri East hotel for five days from October 14 under a false identity (O Heraldo).
